Hope you know that 30 September 2020 is the last date for linking Aadhaar card with ration card.
The government has initiated launch of the inter-state portability of ration cards under its ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ plan.
In order to make sure that no genuine beneficiary or household is denied its entitled quota of food grains, the union ministry had said “Their names/ration cards should not be deleted/cancelled only on the ground of not possessing an Aadhaar number”.
Here is how you can do linking of Aadhaar and ration card online.
Go to the official website of Aadhaar linking – https://resident.uidai.gov.in/.
Click on Start Now and enter your address details such as state and district.
Select benefit type as ration card from the provided options.
Select the scheme name which is written in your ration card.
Now include details like your ration card number, Aadhaar number, mobile number and e-mail address.
You would get a one-time password (OTP) on your mobile number, which you need to enter.
Also, a notification will be given to you about completion of the application process.
Once this is done, your application will be scrutinized and after successful verification, your Aadhaar card will get linked to your ration card.
