Technology company Google has announced a hell lot of stuff on Monday after it addressed the country on Google for India 2020 event.
Among the many things that it plans to do for the betterment of India, the company has also decided to introduce low cost smartphones in the country as an alternative to feature phones.
Feature phone users buy the mobile phones because of its pocket-friendly cost and ease-to-use features.
The company now aims to convert such feature phone mobile users to smartphone users and hence has partnered with many hardware manufacturers to come up with less cost Android phones.
The company will soon be introducing high quality Android phones at budget-friendly cost so that lot of people can have internet access.
Internet has become a boon for the country and the world as well amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The new normal requires internet to a greater extent as we have to now follow social distancing, wearing of masks, sanitization on a regular basis to fight off the pandemic.
Considering the scenario, the company has come up with such a novel idea for improving the lives of people of India.
