Apple has launched Apple Watch Series 6 in its Time Fly event. The company’s new smartwatch looks similar to the Apple Watch Series 4 and Series 5. However, it has new hardware that claims to provide faster performance, better water resistance, better wireless connectivity. The Apple Watch Series 6 is the company’s first smartwatch that can also measure blood oxygen levels. With this, Apple has also launched its first affordable Apple Watch, the Watch SE.
The initial price of Apple Watch Series 6 in India is 40,900 rupees for GPS variants. While its GPS + Cellular option will come at Rs 49,900. Both options will be available in 40mm and 44mm sizes. The company said that it will be made available soon.
It comes in both 40mm and 44mm options. The smartwatch features the new Apple S6 SiP, which is claimed to be up to two times faster than the S5 processor. W3 wireless chip has been provided for better connectivity with Apple devices. It comes with ultra wideband technology and U1 chip, which enables low range connectivity via radio wave.
Apple has also given a retina display with a refresh rate of up to 60Hz. The 40mm Apple Watch Series 6 comes with a resolution of 324 × 394 pixels while the 44mm variant is of 368 × 448 pixels.
For health and wellness tracking, Apple Watch Series 6 now helps users measure their blood oxygen saturation (SpO2). Users get an alert when the blood oxygen level falls below 95 percent to 100 percent. The smartwatch also has an electrical heart rate sensor that records the heartbeat. It also provides detect and ECG reports to AFib.
The Apple Watch Series 6 comes with Mental Health Tracking features, which track panic attacks and high levels of stress. In this, breathing exercise is also offered to control stress. Apart from this, there is also a feature of sleep tracking. Apple claims that it will get up to 18 hours of battery life.
