New Delhi. Former India captain Saurabh Ganguly is all set to become the next chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Congratulations are coming from all over for this new role of Ganguly.
Great batsman Sachin Tendulkar also congratulated Ganguly for this. Tendulkar tweeted on Tuesday, congratulations grandma on being elected BCCI President. I am sure you will continue to serve Indian cricket as always! Best wishes to the new team that took over.
Tendulkar had earlier also revealed that he was the only player in the team who used to call Ganguly as Dadi instead of Dada. Both these batsmen are India’s most successful opening pair and they also have the record of scoring the most runs as an opening pair in ODIs. The pair have scored 6,609 runs in 196 innings for India.
Which includes 21 century and 23 half-century partnership. Ganguly is currently the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal and he is set to become the BCCI president as only one nomination has been filed for the post and belongs to Ganguly. However, Ganguly will be the BCCI boss for less than a year.
