New Delhi. After winning the Lok Sabha elections in May this time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke in a meeting with the leaders of BJP and other NDA allies. He took a dig at the leaders of his party and said that there are some leaders who feel that if they do not give a statement, the country will not run. He also said that some leaders get ready in the morning to give a statement. The Prime Minister explained to all MPs that they should not be caught in the temptation of the camera. He even explained that there will be a lot of temptation with cameras, asking how you feel if you are an MP for the first time, but you do not have to say anything.
Why does no one explain such a thing to Congress leaders? There are many leaders in the Congress who are sitting to give a statement. On seeing the camera, they feel that something should be said. There are many people who have stopped asking for months, if not years. All such leaders are giving a rude statement to come on camera and appear in newspapers. Surprisingly, no one is going to convince such leaders. The three top leaders of the party – Sonia and Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra do not talk to common Congress leaders and there is no such leader below them to explain to the other.
Rahul Gandhi made KC Venugopal the president-general of the organization, but no party leader cares about him. Had a strong organization been the general secretary, the line would have ranged from Mallikarjun Kharge to Jyotiraditya Scindia and Salman Khurshid. Regardless of his seniority and perceived popularity, who would have appointed him to express his opinion to the Congress on matters related to the country’s politics from the party.
