Washington: The corona virus outbreak is increasing and the number of people infected worldwide has crossed 10 (1,039,922) lakhs and lost 55,170 lives.

The highest number of deaths in a single day has been reported from the United States. Despite more than half of the world living under lockdown conditions, the virus is spreading rapidly and the situation has become extremely bad in America, Spain and Britain.

According to new figures, 66.5 million additional Americans signed up for unemployment benefits last week. With this, one crore people have lost their jobs in the last two weeks of March. Economists warn that the situation is going to worsen.

Spain and Britain have 950 and 569 deaths respectively during 24 hours. Italy and Spain alone account for half the number of people dying in the whole world, but experts say that cases of new infections are decreasing in both countries. The virus has primarily targeted the elderly and the terminally ill, but cases of teenagers and even the death of a six-month-old girl pose a danger to people of all age groups.

More than 900 people have died due to Corona virus infection in Spain in the last 24 hours. This is the second consecutive day in the country that this infection has killed more than 900 people. According to the data released by the government on Friday, Spain has the highest number of deaths due to this virus after Italy. In Spain, 932 people died in the last 24 hours. So far 10,935 people have died due to this infection in the country and 1,17,710 people have been infected.

However, data from the Ministry of Health confirms that the rate of increase in new cases and death toll is steadily decreasing. In the middle of last week, the infection rate had increased by 20 percent and on Thursday by 7.9 percent, while according to the latest numbers it has increased by 6.8 percent. Apart from this, the rate of increase in the number of daily deaths has also decreased. On Friday, the death toll increased to 9.3 percent, while on Thursday it was 10.5 percent and on March 25 this rate was 27 percent.

Iran on Friday announced 134 more deaths due to corona virus infection and with this the official death toll from the epidemic in the country reached 3,294. Health Department spokesman Kianosh Jahanpore told a press conference that 2,715 new cases of infection have been reported during the last 24 hours and the total number in the country has increased to 53,183. Iran is one of the countries worst affected by the corona virus epidemic and has been battling to overcome it since the first death of the virus infection in the country on 19 February.
