Karnataka government bans travellers from five states

New Delhi: Taking precautionary measures due to the corona virus epidemic, Karnataka has decided to stop ‘transport’ with five neighboring states for the present. This step has been taken under the protection of Corona virus infection in the state. Karnataka has decided to ban all types of travel from Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The number of corona cases in these five states is quite high. After this decision, no flights, trains or other vehicles will be allowed to enter Karnataka from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Significantly, most cases of corona virus in the country have been reported from Maharashtra. There are 56,948 people suffering from corona infection and 1897 people have lost their lives due to the virus in the state. At present, the number of active cases of Corona in Maharashtra is 37 thousand 133. Similarly, the number of corona cases in Gujarat is 15,195 (active case 6708). In the neighboring state of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, the number of cases of corona infection reported so far is 18,545. So far 7261 cases of Corona have been reported from Madhya Pradesh and 7703 from Rajasthan.
