Mohammed Shami becomes the second Indian to take a World Cup hat-trick and in doing so, he has fired India to an 11-run victory. He scalped the wickets of Nabi, Alam and Mujeeb off successive deliveries and defended 16 runs off the last over. India remain unbeaten in the tournament. Earlier, Afghanistan bowlers restricted India to 224/8 in 50 overs. Mohammad Nabi and Gulbadin Naib scalped two wickets each. Virat Kohli and Kedar Jadhav slammed respective fifties but rest of the batsmen weren’t up to the mark.
